Quant Rockets leaned into that improving sentiment, with strength concentrated in growth and technology-linked names. AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) popped 8.53%, and Rocket Lab (RKLB) followed with a 7.65% gain as investors rotated into speculative space and satellite plays that tend to do well when fear is receding.

The system’s momentum screens also kept us heavily tilted toward semiconductors and hardware. Western Digital (WDC) climbed 7.32%, Seagate (STX) added 5.68%, and Micron (MU) rose 4.47%. These kinds of moves are a good illustration of how Quant Rockets operates: the rules don’t try to predict the Fed or the next headline; they look for sustained price strength across a group of related stocks and allocate accordingly when the data confirms a trend.
The day was more mixed in the higher-octane corners of the portfolio. Duolingo (DUOL) fell 5.57%, and several AI and quantum computing names such as IonQ (IONQ, -5.09%) and D-Wave (QBTS, -5.40%) gave back recent gains. Those areas often move in bursts. A systematic approach accepts that individual positions can swing sharply while the broader basket aims to capture the overall trend. When the numbers show that a surge has stalled, the system will gradually rotate capital away without any emotional attachment.
Energy transition and uranium were also weak, with Bloom Energy (BE) and Uranium Energy (UEC) both down 7.45%. That split picture is exactly what makes a diversified, rules-based portfolio useful: while one theme cools, others like data storage, space, and select industrials (such as Modine, up 6.35%) pick up the slack and keep the strategy aligned with where the market is actually rewarding risk.

Stocks kicked off the week with a strong risk-on tone, helped by a nearly 600-point jump in the Dow and broad gains in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq. Big, steady brands like Nike and American Express led the charge, a sign that investors are getting a bit more comfortable with the economic backdrop and the Federal Reserve’s recent messaging. The VIX volatility index dropped over 6%, which essentially means traders are pricing in a calmer, more predictable environment than we’ve seen in recent weeks.
