In that backdrop, Quant Rockets leaned into what it does best: follow price strength wherever it’s emerging, without trying to predict the Fed. The system is rules-based and reacts to data, so when volatility picks up and leadership rotates, the portfolio naturally gravitates toward names showing persistent momentum.
That was clear in today’s standouts. Hecla Mining (HL) jumped 7.26%, helped by the combination of a firm gold price and renewed interest in precious metals equities.

Fortuna Mining (FSM) and Uranium Energy (UEC) also gained, continuing a broader theme of strength in miners and energy-related materials. This kind of cluster of gains is what systematic traders look for: it can signal an emerging sector trend rather than a one-off move.
On the growth side, AppLovin (APP) rallied 5.05%, while Lumentum (LITE) and Coherent (COHR) posted solid advances, reflecting ongoing demand for select tech and communications suppliers. Circle Internet Group (CRCL) and Cipher Mining (CIFR) benefited from the renewed enthusiasm around digital assets, a good example of how the strategy can capture moves tied to bigger macro stories like Bitcoin’s resurgence.

On the downside, Vertiv (VRT) slid 3.90% and Astera Labs (ALAB) fell 4.93%, showing that even strong, longer-term momentum names can experience sharp pullbacks. The system does not intervene based on headlines or gut feel; instead, it waits for its exit rules to trigger, which are based on price and risk management, not opinion.
Taken together, today’s mixed market and mixed portfolio result are exactly the kind of environment Quant Rockets is built for. When leadership shifts, momentum strategies can rotate with it, aiming to stay aligned with the strongest trends while keeping individual positions on a short leash when they break down.

U.S. stocks finished the day mostly flat to slightly lower as traders positioned themselves ahead of tomorrow’s interest rate decision. The Dow slipped more than the S&P 500, while the Nasdaq managed a small gain, which fits the pattern we often see when investors favor growth and tech over more traditional names. The VIX ticked higher and gold rose, both signs that investors are a bit more cautious. At the same time, Bitcoin’s rebound toward $93,000 highlights continued risk appetite in select corners of the market.
