Trading system commentary

Stock Market Commentary: Every Friday we publish video reviews on the market environment so be sure to tune into our Stock Market Weekly series here on the blog or on YouTube for real-time analysis throughout the month.

Merlin Trading System: It was a tough start to the year particularly because Merlin has been getting more and more invested in this market but it’s primarily concentrated in smaller and mid-cap sized companies. The S&P500 managed to finish up 1.59% but the Russell 2000 was -3.90%. If we see rotation into small caps and breadth expansion, we would expect Merlin to follow in their footsteps.

Lamorak Trading System: It was a good start to the year for Lamorak which closed about 30 trades with a 75%+ win rate. It was able to take advantage of the stock market’s weakness in the first couple of weeks of the month and capitalize on the rebound going into February.
